AC issues

The compressor clutch doesn't engage but pulley spins. Tried adding but it won't except much pressure gauge goes up rapidly. It's fairly new compressor . Did Maxima self check on it the clutch clicks and engages . If it won't engage because low Freon and cant add because it won't engage. I'm in a catch 22

Does the temperature read correctly on your dashboard? If not, change the ambient air sensor behind the front bumper. The other thing could be the ac pressure switch which is not activating the clutch.

I bypassed switch to add some dye the clutch engaged but doesn't except much , because I went too vacuum but there was a leak somewhere . Feel like I'm chasing my tail to many catch 22's . From the start replaced compressor. Since then the evaporator, expansion valve , and receiver drier. Next is the pressure sensor. Idk
