Oil light and ticking valvetrain
I just wanted to pass this along. Many probably already know it but it was news to me.
2001 SE Edition with 380,000 miles. Recently on cold startup the oil warning light would flash and there was audible ticking from the valve train for about 5 seconds.
I entered the symptoms into Grok and it suggested that I first replace the cheap filter with a high quality one that would have a more robust anti-drain system.
It suggested a Wix #57356 filter. I installed one and it worked! No more oil light and no more ticky-ticky.
No more cheap filters on any of my vehicles. (the difference was only about $3.00 )
