I just noticed the thread above about the loss of a fellow .org member, and it just reminded me of how a year and 4 days ago I was almost in his shoes. It really shakes you up to hear it, and even shakes you up more to go through a high speed collision, but time heals and covers up things sometimes that should always be remembered. I do still have a heavy foot, and wish that I didn't. I think I am better than I was, but I am still very weak when a challenge comes up.

My thoughts and prayers are with Mario Scott, his family and friends, as well as every member of this board that drives, rides, or even places foot on a road way. It doesn't ever matter how skilled we are, or how fast our car can go, stop, or corner, there are always other people on the road, that can always put a kink in your day, or even your life.

My foot weighed a ton today, sometimes it's hard to resist but reminders like your post do make it a little easier.

I do agree that this stuff is really sad.....i too tend to have a heavy foot and i am better at controlling it then i was before some incidents but it does help to have reminders and stories to bring most of us back into the realitly that could be.....

 

Damn that iz crazy man!!...how did you manage to pull that off!??

P.S. Yup street racing is definitely like drugs (or worse). But I try not to do anything extremely crazy when there's other people in the car with me (I know that's not an excuse, but better to risk only your life than your friends'/family's).

Yep, it wasn't fun, and I still have vivid memories of it
