Do I need a spring Compressor?

I just got my GCs and my KYG - AGX struts.

For the install do I need a spring compressor?

By the way the GCs look really short. I can't believe how small they are.

I'd recommend one to make it easier and safer for you. You can "rent" them at most auto parts stores so the only thing it will cost you is the time to pick it up and drop it off again.

Ditto.

I rented one from AutoZone that was such high quality (compared to others that I've seen) that I just kept it. Money well spent.

I bet you do

If you have stock springs right now, you definitely will. Those suckers are pretty compressed in there. You may even need two compressors to bring the spring down evenly. Aftermarket springs are about 30% shorter or so, when installing them, you don't have to compress them. Just lean down on them and screw the top nut in place.

True for the rears, not for the fronts.

:o)

If you are in a pinch, you don't have to. You jack up the car by the frame. Then you take a second jack and you jack up the axle, and lower or raise it as needed. Pretty easy and, I beleive, safe. However, like everyone else said, since they are free at Autozone, why not?
