I've got over 40,000 miles on my 2000 SE (manual). No problems so far and never took it in for a check-up. Just had a transmission fluid flush at 34K. However my right tail light just went out. WTF is up with that?

Don't know yet, going to see tomorrow. All ready bought the bulbs, but just the fact that it's only been 2 years that p!$$in' me off. Oh yeah, and one other thing, the bottom of my driver's side heated seat isn't working. Anybody have a similar problem or fix? It shouldn't be a big deal since spring is here, but I live in Wisconsin, AKA: the frozen tundra, so I've kinda become dependent on them.
I'm guessing they go a little early because of the way the lights are setup. I don't know about you but when my car is running my lights are usually on. Anyway, one of mine went at around 30,000 miles and the other followed shortly after. If you feel like it replace both at the same time. I think the bulbs usually come in 2 packs.
that's what I paid when I got my 30,000 miles service done.. they flush almost all the fluids and roated tires and etc.... I was taking a long trip so that's why I had it done.. but nothing was wrong with the car.. they wanted to do an injector flush(trying to get more money out of me..) but I didn't go for it...

Fluid Flushing?
check out the fluids first b4 taking it in for service. if the coolant is bright green, no need a coolant flush. if your oil is not super black, don't need an engine flush. if your trans fluid is still red, don't need a trans flush. injector flushes are totally a waste of time and money.
i plan on taking it in for the 30K servce just to keep my baby in tip-top shape. and for proof that i actually maintained the car so it's value will supposedly be more if i decide to sell it.

Also true of auto transmission flush... flushing gets the fluid out of the torque convertor and cooler, otherwise you'll only drain maybe 1/2 the fluid. Very good idea at 30k.
I do agree about engine flush and injector flushes, though. They are only necessary if the car has been poorly maintained or has problems, not as a routine service item.

May I recommend
switching to Redline synthetic tranny fluid at 30K. Check the how to section for a very easy replacement or just have your local shop do it. It is a nice investment, especially for those of us that are hard on our trannies.
