I got everything to work right but now the trunk doesnt close at all? Also the trunk sits about 1/2 inch higher then the rest of the body, i dont get what could be wrong? I dont really see anything blocking it, it just doesnt go down as far and it is not exaactly flush wiht the rest of the car? Dam conversion
it probably ddoesnt line up on the quarter paneal as well, because the 95-96 had a much larger curve on the trunk/quarter panel as well. Did you change the rear lights as well?

Everything lines up great except the whole trunk sits 1/2 inch too high and it doesnt close. I even sat on it, still doesnt close.

ok , maybe u guys who did u conversion can answer this: Did u have to change the locking mechanisms on the trunk, or did u simply take all the stuff from you exixting trunk?

The trunk DOES fit on the car. What you need to do is take off the old lock mechanism on the old trunk and put it on the new one. Then mount the sucker. This will work better with two people (one by the trunk release and one by the trunk lid): Close the trunk lid and see how it fits, mark the points where it doesn't fit. Then open the trunk (via the other person) and loosen the mounting screws. You CAN move the trunk on those hinges, either up/down and left/right. Keep doing this until the edges line up. Then, for it to sit flush, you MIGHT need to trim down those rubber stoppers. Good luck guy. Post back if you need more help.
