Ok... I just installed my Frankencar Intake and I noticed a few minutes after installing it and running the car their is a strange smell coming from my engine... Is this normal?

Jesus this thing is loud... I'll need to get used to it. Its really freaking loud at high rpms.

 

I also have a vile smell coming from my tailpipe.Not all the time but once and a while when I start it or had just got on it,the smell is gross.Anyone know what this might be.I also have a Franken intake but have smelled the smell before I installed it.And yes she is loud,make sure to tighten all the clamps really tight and install the brace and you wont get that heavy vibration sound at high RPM.

i never really noticed it with mine, maybe it's the smell of the new k/n or something.

 

ya..i think its just everything being new. I had that smell right away I installed it, but it went away like an hour later

 

Perhaps it's just some contaminants that are burning or peeling away?

You know how when you buy a bread toaster and the first few times you use it the thing just smells soooo bad.
