Corner Lights give off DULL YELLOWISH COLOR even with Hyper White Bulbs!!! HELP!!

Ok here's my problem!

I have purchased 2 types of HYPER WHITE Blubs for my corner Lights (1157 bulbs), one from custommaxima.com, the POLARG HYPER WHITE bulbs and one from AutoZone, some other brand which is also Hyper White.

BUT the color that they give off are still a DULL YELLOWISH COLOR, while the rest of my lights are a Nice Hyper White color??

I was thinking the Corner Lens were problem, but both are Perfectly Clear and clean when you look at them in the day??? Lens do not look dirty at all or yellowish?? Could it be the lens?? Any ideas??

On Custommaxima.com there's a link where you can make the corner lights brighter, but i dont think this could do it for me cuase its only to make them brighter , while my problem is that there a DULL YELLOWISH COLOR.

PLEASE SOME HELPPPPP!!!!!

I got Raybrig Hyper White and they look exactly like the stock ones. My PolarG are in the mail and I am hoping to see a nice hyper white color - even with a little blueish color to it, but hopefully not yellowish.

I just simply unplugg the lights. To me it looks better with HIDs.

Can you buy these anywhere? Like Pep Boys or Kragen? I hate the yellow look to mine as well...

I thought 1157 was for the clearance (corner lights)
and 1156 for the blinker lights ?????

1157 is a dual filament bulb incase, 1156s are single... both work fine 1157s are for the rear brake lamps....

getting nice bulbs is hard to do at the autoparts store.. thats where I got my current 1156s and the look green I have a set of Mercury bulbs from Japan I guess I'll put them in and see how that looks... otherwise go for Polarg or PIAAs.. PIAA Xtreme whites came out now! they look sweet!

Are you saying that you can put an 1156 bulb in a 1157 spot ?? That would probally be alot easier than a rewire huh ? Is there any problems with doing that ??

Stealth Max has Some

Stealth Max, an Org Member has a good price on Piaa Extreme Whites.
His price is something like 12.50 Shipped to you in the lower 48 States. I have bought numerous items from him and his rep is very creditable.

These prices are so much better than local performance rip-offs...

Later,
Mike

So Hyper White 1156 bulb's would solve my problem with the dull yellowish color??

So the problem is NOT with my corner lens???

If the 1156's bulbs are the solution, what type do i need?? Where can i purchase them??

the only problem I can think of is the bulbs running at 27W (Ithink thats what the run) running very hot and causing some problems with the housing and the harness... usually i think the 1157s run at 8W thats why they are so dull...

and Moy just get any superwhite 1156 it mite not match but hey its a lil experiment... it takes some time to find something that matches perfectly

I am a picky guy and my corners don t look yellow at all. You need to get the 27/12 Volt light bulbs shave off the top nipple and install them bacwards. why bother to rewire your lights when it takes a couple of mins to shave down a nipple on the bulb. Why shave the top nipple? the bulb is dual filament to let the 27V shine all the time since they are not blinkers, and they will look bluish white, but not bright like HIDS. With my purple HID lights my corners look somewhat green.

If they are dual filament and have one bulb higher than the other they yes it should. Go out and check it shouldn't take but a minute. Plus you could try it, cornerbulbs don't cost too much. Or you could try searching. BTW your car looks really sweet but you should put some eyelids on to cover up the gap ontop of the E36 lights.
