I saw that on ebay tonight and almost posted about it, but I didn't think it would generate too much interest. To tell you the truth it looks more like a straight pipe than a cat I wouldn't want to be testing emissions with it that's for sure.

The other straight pipes on ebay don't have the fat part in the middle. I'm guessing it's there for a reason.

That's very true Get one and find out if it's any good It's definitely very cheap for a hi flow cat. I thought the Carsound cats weren't too bad at $110, but that's half price.

the cat on my boys Eclipse GST looks like tat...at first I thought he had bought a striaght pipe(since they look kinda similar to those), but it really was an actual cat converter with the honey comb crap inside....I guess thats a more "stylish" option than the traditional wide, boxy type!

I saw the same thing too. What are really going to be the actual gains though? I'm replacing my Y pipe probably this week and this would be icing on the cake if it does anything. I've been told that the stock cat in our cars is not very restrictive anyway. Does anybody know?

It really is not that erstrictive. People usually only notice like 3HP gains or so unless it is clogged up pretty bad. Mine has about 75K miles on it and I can still look through and see the light on the other side. Not too bad.
