Wanna get frustrated? Change your PCV valve!
some posts claim 15 minutes to change their PCVs...DAMN IT!
this thing took me 1.5 hours for two simple reasons:
1) I kept dropping it/losing it in the engine bay.
2) the hose to attach it is WAY EASIER to get off than back on.

Hopefully, the only positive thing to come of this is, well, my new PCV, and a future write up with pics and tips to not be a spazz like me
oh, one quick tip -- don't do it in a mall parking lot assuming it'll be an easy 10 minute job (or when ppl are waiting for you...

try some mineral oil next time, generously applied in the case of the pcv - because that's a little ***** even when you're doing it right

As far as dropping it in the engine I got sick of doing that and put it on like a 10mm socket. Then when it wasnt sliding in right I gave the socket on the extension a tap with a hammer. Went right in without a problem then.

Its a tight fit -- definitely.
I also "tapped" mine in -- the hardest part was then re-attaching the hose that connects it...next time (well, next time I'll pay
) I think that one should reattach the hose before putting the PCV back in its place.

I have to change my PCV valve too, but if you dont have any lubricant here this will sound crazy get a little saliva from your mouth and that should lube it right up and the heat will evaporate it. At least thats what I did to push my fuel hoses back in. I will post and inform how long it took me to change my PCV valve. I already located it. right under the throttle cable area.
