...this car still purrs like it did when I bought it with 41k miles on it in '95. The timing belt was changed at 91k miles so that should be good until 150k, right? Anything else in the way of significant repairs that I should be prepared for as the old girl marches on?

keep an eye on your CV boots and be sure to change the fluids..
everything else is normal stuff..

I've noticed a lot of people blowing CV boots recently.. most likely because it's getting cold and the rubber boots are getting hard.. then the cracks get worse and grease starts splattering. balh blah.. make sure your CV boots are in good shape, and everything else should be okay as long as you pay attention.

Hey Matt,
I just got my front CV axles replaced recently and for about 2 weeks they were quiet now all of a sudden they started making noises again. I crawled underneath to make sure the boot hadnt separated but it looks good.. You have any ideas what it could be? It makes this clickin noise usually when I do U-turns. Other than that its quiet during turns.

Take care of that auto tranny. If you haven't had it flushed recently, have a shop do it. Next time you do brakes, keep an eye on the rears, they seem to seize up over time.

I used to work at jiffy lube, and they have a T-tech machine that they hook up to your lines and actually flushes all of the fluid out of the trannie. They'll tell you that all you need is a drain and fill but thats BS..that only gets out about 2 quarts of fluid.
And stand there and watch them do it to make sure they do...a lot of times they set the machine there like they're doing it but really arnt
Just some xtra info...
