About spring coil "isolation" wrap >>
I'm still a bit confused as to which size to get. I noted that CleeI30 stated 19mm for the size.
Erica said that she went to Radio Shack and bought some kind of helical split wire wrap, while a picture CleeI30 posted seems to show a different part cost and number:

I've never seen any of this hardware in person. Do the Nissan spring coil isolators (they call them polyurethane isolators) fit aftermarket springs (particularly my H&Rs)? Or will I need a larger size diameter wrapping?
Thanks for the help,
Albert

Just wondering, when you mean first 2.5 coils, do you mean from the top of the spring or from the bottom? or both?

Sorry to revive this thread >>
But I've been to Home Depot and Radio Shack...
Home Depot only had this white/clear spiral wrap, came in a package with several sizes, about .5 inch being the largest. I asked about black spiral wrap with a larger diameter and they knew of no such product.
Radio Shack only had a .5 black wire wrap on the shelves...but from what I understand, about 19mm or .75 inch is needed.
Does anyone have part numbers?
Please advise...
Thanks
Al

Hey just to blow your mind. Forget the wire wrap and do what a few people including me have done here(I have H&R's+AGX's).. This seems like a much better idea..
go to Home Depot again and buy 15 feet of 5/8ID(3/4 OD) clear PVC tubing(not the reinforced kind with the threads in it).
Buy a can of pure silicone spray.
before you install the springs, cover the 2nd coil down from the top with the tubing by sliding a cut length of the tubing right over the spring. Use the silicone to help slide it on. The H&R's are easy to do this on. Don't cover the top coil. This must seat into the rubber upper strut mount. Cover at least the whole second coil, particularly where the 1st and second coils would first touch.
Works great. No noise. Doesn't seem as hokey as wire wrap and might last longer.

How can the top part of the spring make any noise as they are inside that circular rubber (what do you call it on the top of the spring inside the dish?)
