Fog Lights out...

Help....both my fog lights are out. I tried to replace them the other day but it is impossible. Anyone know what to do here? How much would it cost if I took it to a shop to get done? Your help is appreciated.....Thanks.

Re: Fog Lights out...

Both fog lights are out = burnt out or not working?

1) Check the fuse in the F/L holder (engine compartment driver side).

2) If fuse is ok & you suspect bulbs are both blown (strange, but possible).

I don't know how different the 97+ is from the 95.

On a 95-96, there is a fake inner piece to your fog lamp. Push upward, it should unlatch and you can take it off exposing a bolt. Don't use a screwdriver.
b) Remove the bolt, and then 'yank' thr entire foglamp housing out. The other end is secured with a knuckle similar to the clearance lamp so if you've taken one of those out before, you'll know what I mean.
c) Undo connector, there is a lever inside that holds the bulb in place.

The rest is a bit sketchy but once you get the housing out, you should be able to figure it out.

don't take it to a shop
it's really easy
use philips to unscrew plastic cover
then I think a 10mm socket to undo bolt
the light will come out easily
but I'll bet it's the fuse like pktrkt sez...

More specifically:

But check your fuses first, usually both bulbs don't blow at the same time without something else being the problem.
