put a beating on an impala??

i lined up next to this Impala at a red lite..newer model impala...well the dude was
by himself in the car...and i didn't reallly think he would
race but when the light turned green he hits the gas real hard
and peels out a bit...by the time i hit the gas he was already
half a car in front of me...so we got to this next light and
we talked for a bit...he said his impala is a 3.8 liter..i dont know
too much about impalas...and he asked me what if my car was modded
i said i have an intake which is all i have..well i was ready this
time...when the light turned green i put a car length on him rite away
and kept pulling away from him until i slowed down at a curve..i'm
scared of going fast on curves...i was surprised that i beat him that
bad if his impala was a 3.8

Too heavy, too slow. I like reading up on potential threats.
