With all the information form this board, I was able to repair and tune up my car. I cleaned the throtle body, reset the idle speed and replace the ects.
This is the first time i've every worked on my car, now i'm thinking about doing some mod's. Oh next week i'm going to change my knock sensor. Thanks again for all your help!!! this forum is the best.

Thanks to the forum, I cleaned the throttle body on my 91 Escort. Now, I'm getting more of the 88 hp I deserve!!!
Well, I'm actually not getting any more hp, it just seems to idle a bit steadier (higher?) and doesn't jerk when I accelerate. Manual tranny.
And I ruined my perfectly good soft bristle toothbrush. I've got to go to the store and buy another one now
