We just bought new cars a couple of months ago and he insisted that his TL could beat my MAX!
So I said put your money were your mouth is and we got it on! When the race was over.....all I know is that I had an extra $100.00 in my pocket and my cousin has alot of respect for the 2K2 MAXIMA. HA!HA! Now when we see each other, he always asks how my MAX is doing!!
I don't think he will ever forget that day. I thought I heard him saying under his breath as he walked away......."I should of bought the MAX........

how did you just smoke him.. and then say now everytime he sees you he asks how the max is doing.. im guessing this happeend a while ago?

 

My cousin has the TL-S. We went for a ride on the highway and did a good stretch of highway. We got it up to around 90-100mph. I won him by about 2 car lenths when we exited the highway. That's how I smoked him. This was a friendly race but it sure did prove a point. The Max is better. We didn't want to get to crazy because we just put on about 1500 miles past the break in period. The new Acura is a nice car but I prefer my MAX!!

Like I posted over a month ago, I raced a TL-S from a light, both of us brand new and NO MODS, and I took him by a car and maybe a 1/2..... A race against a plain TL, would not be a race at all..

 

Hmm no details, nothing. Sounds like a troll to me trying to stir **** up.

 

I believe the story 100%. Even if the story is made up its still true.

Hey Max,

first of all I'm not a troll! The story is 100% true! You can agree or disagree that's your right. For your information it was my cousin who started the the trash talk and said that his TL-S was better than my Max SE. So I put him in his place!! This was done with no violence, HA! HA! Besides being family we are also good friends.

I have nothing against Acuras or their owners but when I'm challenged I show what the Max is made of (255 HP!!), I don't trash talk. In my opinion there are very few sport sedans around like the Maxima based on price & performance. I'm sure the other Maxima Ethusiasts would agree with this.

 

I'll Spank you like a Redhead stepchild, then I'll have Leftcoast Invade your most private of areas in his 6 speed !....VQ , remember, some of our " Members" dedicate themselves to putting down any posts you have , no matter what it is. Has anyone driven both the TLS and Max? I took the TLS for a test drive back last spring but I didn't push it hard. People say the TLS handles better. Did you find the same? I noticed in the TLS I felt the bumps pretty good. The Max do have more headroom, but both are lacking. The TLS has longer legs (upper range)? What else did you notice?

 

I test drove both TLs and Maxima.
I think TLs pulls pretty hard, but Maxima is better.
I like the interior & exterior of TLs more.
Overall, both are great cars
