People with Fiber Images C/F hood!

I was installing a shock and glass sensor in my car today and while checking the theft det system I noticed the light kept blinking with everything closed and indicating the system would not arm. Since I havent had this problem since I got the hood I checked there first and sure enough theres no place on the hood to make contact with the hood switch! So now I have the hood switch unplugged so the system would arm but you guys should check cause even though the theft det sucks, if the hood isn't making contact it's not gonna arm. When you close the doors the light should go out until you arm the system at which point it stays solid for 30sec and then starts to blink. If it doesn't stop blinking then the BCM thinks that something is open.

Couldn't help you there. I still have the factory alarm. I will look into an upgrade later though.

Hm...I see. Don't know, my factory alarm still seem to work. So if this is the case, if I upgrade to an new alarm system with shock sensor, would I run into the same problem?

:o)

If it makes you feel any better, your car will arm itself eventually. It will take longer than the usual 30 seconds though. But the hood will not be protected.

Oh, good as long as it arms.
Cumalot, I added a shock sensor to the factory alarm. This way if someone breaks a window or jacks up the car it will set off the factory alarm.
