synthetic blend oil ok?

Thinking of switching to synthetic blend engine oil. But the 01 maxima manual states "do not mix mineral based and synthetic type oils in the engine at the same time."
Some people on this board are using synthetic blends.
Does this apply to synthetic blended formulas or only to mixing manually between a full synthetic and conventional dino oil?

nobdy would want to mix the two oils in the engine at the same time. just try the synthetic after about 15,000 miles. i just past 10,000 and i'm already using MOBLE1 .it's impressive and smoother shifts.

Switch it up asap. Use a good one like Amsoil, Havoline, etc.. You should probably take a look at the Oil Analysis that's a sticky on the General section.

Blends are a bit of a waste. Go one way or the other - synthetic or dino...
