installed new exhaust; impressions

i just had a local shop install my wsp aluminzed y-pipe, rt cat, and apexi ws catback. first of all, the car is much faster, especially in the top end. at first the exhaust made a banging sound but i had to bend the tow hook to get rid of the sound. also, i can hear a loose sound under the dash. sounds like the heat shield is loose. other than that, the car sounds great and hauls a**

I just but on a custom bent 2.5 in. cat back, with a magna flow muffler. I had a stillen pop chager, car sound cat, and warpspeed y. With no resonator. The car is LOUD below 3K rpm. and has very little low end tourqe. Im seriously thinking about taking it off. The top end is great. But I really miss my low end. Anyone have any suggestions about how to fix this?

Yup. The US Maximas never need to replace any exhaust items. We just do it for more power

zcarguy, to get your lo end back, try converting your POP to a hybrid. Maybe also re-use the intake scoop from the stock intake. The one that sits on top of the radiator and pulls air in. Plug up the extra holes so that all the air comes in the scoop and goes straght out of the end to your POP.

If that doesn't work enuff for you, get a CAI.
Lastly, if the exhaust setup too loud for you, put back the stock muffler, or get a 2K1 muffler.

I think that im gonna go with the CAI idea. I like the sound of those better too. I may look into the 5th gen muffler too. Thanks again.
