Funny, my max does the same. If I turn off the climate control, what ever setting I leave it at is what the air blows out.

I have Auto Climate control, some air blows out the bottom at room temp when I shut mine off. I think cars are required to have fresh air into the cabin.

try pushing the button that indicates recirculating cabin air only.

When you turn off the Auto Climate Control, the outside air vent opens and it swiches the vents to feet. Wind and your car moving push air through. Because your vents/condenser/heater core are still hot/cold the air that comes out will be hot or cold for a little while.

I'm not sure if this is what your experiencing, but my car has always done this. I dont think its something to worry about.

BINGO! I had the same concern when my Max was new. I went to the
dealer and they said in order to close the system you have to turn
on recirculation. Worked perfectly and now no more cold air on my
feet. I think it's even in the owner's manual if I remember
correctly.

Cheers!

When your climate control system is off, you can still press the recycle button (the LED will illuminate). No air should be passing through at that point.
