Please Post What Brand Of Oil & Coolant You Use And Why...

I know this topic has been beaten but I couldn't find one concentrated thread on fluids.

Please post oil, coolant and reasoning.

AMSOIL, I use it because the company backs up it's claims with test results. I'm from the old school, don't just tell me but prove it. On the AMSOIL oil container they show results of testing with their competitors, by name and oil range. If this was not accurate don't you think AMSOIL's competitors would sue them out of business. I have yet to do research on which coolant I'll use when I flush my cooling system.

Amsoil for the engine oil and Zerex for the antit-freeze/coolant. Amsoil because it has proven itself over the past 30 years and is worth it for my car. Zerex because it has a low corrosivity and won't "attack" the components in the cooling system as quickly as some of the others.

Amoco or Mobil in the gas tank
Amsoil in the engine
Penzoil in the tranny
Nissan in the cooling system - I haven't changed it yet.

Oh and me behind the wheel.

From: TX
Amsoil in the engine (I've used Mobil 1 and Royal Purple before)
Redline in the transmission
Toyota Red in the cooling system
Ford Dot4 Brake Fluid

I like using good fluids, but I also prefer to not have to replace them as often. The Amsoil and Toyota Red are known for being better fluids for extended drain intervals while still being an effective fluid (i.e. not breaking down). I'm running 10k oil drain intervals with the Amsoil, and the Toyota Red is supposed to be good for 2 years rather than one. I can always change the fluid early should I feel the need.
