I'm definately getting some 18" rims/wheels late july/early aug. But was wondering if i should delay that a bit and get the drilled/slotted rotors + performance breaks??

what have others done in the past??

mzmtg, you seem to be posting the same post evry other day.

You got a hot key on your computer to do this?

You should definitely get the wheels first. Because if you get any kind of big-brake kit, chances are it won't fit in your stock wheels anyway

Decide whether you want to use stock wheels anymore (I have SE wheels so I still use them), and how much braking power you want. I opted to get slotted rotors/pads/lines so that I could use my 16s and 18s. I got my brake upgrade for $500 and now I can save money on tires as well I may do a big brake upgrade in the future, but at least I'm part of the way there.

from what i know, fitting doesn't have anything to do with what size wheels you get i think. If i get slotted/drilled rotors & break pads... the wheels never touch any of those, so why should the size of the wheel matter?

the size of the wheel matters if you want to get one of the big break kits - if you just wanna change the rotors - you will be fine...... BTW - if you need new brakes - get those first - but if not........i'd go for the rims........slotted rotors eat up your pads fast.

And you know this from what experience?
I believe the saying goes something like this: Believe none of what you hear and half of what you read; and when 95emeraldgxe starts talking just stop listening (or something like that)

ok, so back to my topic...I'm not gettin big break systems... just regular drilled/slotted rotors . What to get first drilled/slotted rotors with peformance break pads OR rims/tires + oem pads ?!?

big brake kits........ common sense that the size of the rim will matter slotted rotors........think about it dum@$$ - it might not wear out your brake pad in like a day or something, but they definitely do eat them up faster

Get the rims first and if you notice a decrease in brake performance you can always redo your brakes with whatever you feel necessary. My slotted rotors/pads helped my braking, and it also fit my budget so that's why I have what I have. The big brake kit does cost considerably more, and it also doesn't clear my 16s. Slotted rotors don't wear down pads that much faster unless you are using them for a lot of track use. The nice thing about them is they always keep the pads from glazing
95emeraldgxe I know a big brake kit isn't the same, but that's not what you said either.

And the difference is I have slotted rotors so I know what they do
