Re: STROKER (maybe)

LOL twin turbos huh. How are you going to mount them when there isn't enough room to pull the oil filter from the back? If you want a bigger VG get a VG33E from a pathfinder. Go here http://www.car-part.com look for the engine from a 1998+ nissan pathfinder.

Yeah, forget about the twin turbo idea. That would never work for our cars and I believe it was only designed for the VE-series engines anyway. Also, a twin turbo setup doesn't put out that much more horespower than a single turbo. After all, a single turbo can put out more boost pressure than an engine can handle.

The reason for the twin turbos, is that one is smaller than the other. Since that smaller turbo spins up quicker, it reduces turbo lag when the car is first starting out. After it puts out as much boost as it can, the second and more larger turbo kicks in and provides the boost when travelling at higher speeds.

The TT setup was used in the VG30DE powerplant.

Let's break it down for him then:

VG = engine series
30 = 3.0 liters displacement
D = dual over camshafts (total of four, two per cylinder bank)
E = electronic fuel injection
TT = Twin Turob

Easy Bro! Yes you can do all that. Check Paeco (search the web, order a catalog)for starters..then figure out how to do it cheaper..strokers are available, bigger heads? Not sure what you mean, but ANY head can be ported, polished or otherwise improved. Do yourself a favor..get a z31 single turbo motor (vg30ET) and ECU and drop that **** in your ride. It can be done relatively easily and you can get the entire running motor for like 500 if you shop around. So get to it! Anything that can be done to a z31 300zx can be done to your vg motor

cool, i got my vg ported and polished. i got a twin turbo 85 300zx. one turbos small and the other is bigger. nissan dude told me that the factory one was small to cut out lag and someone put in the other one for top end. is the motor in the 85 a z-31???? i got the motor and trans out of my max right now to fix the front from a wreck i had racing it, and to paint and detail the engine bay. so if the z-31 is that much better ill do it. especially for only $500

By the way stupid f*ck, the twin turbo setup used in the Z is simulatenous, meaning both turbos supply boost at the same time. The setup that I was referring to was "sequential turbochargers", which Nissan didn't use in the Z. So I'd seriously like to know how this guy managed to put sequential turbos in a Z when the factory turbo wasn't setup to do such.

And the f*cking motor isn't called a Z31 you dumb d*ck sh*t, that refers to the '84-89 300ZX itself.

You're such a god damn waste of f*cking sperm. Your daddy should have just shot his load all over your mommy's face instead of wasting it to make you.

Z31 refers to the 300zx model, so your 85 is a Z31 with the VG30ET engine. Z32 are the newer 90+ z cars with the VE30D engine (dual overhead cams, variable intake runners). Z31 had the vg30 engine just like your max. How is the second turbo installed on your 85? thos engine bays are tight.
