Help is my tranmission dieing?

I have an auto 95 max with 98,000 miles on it. Lately i just a bought pop charger. WHen i floor it then let of the gas fast the rpms fly up without the car moving. Seems the car is not hitting the gears. I don't hear any noises, just the engine working. Is there a probablem with my transmission?

Are you at a standstill? In drive?

Its a automatic and its when i am in drive. Sometimes when i floor it then i let go of the gas fast it doens't switch gears fast. It seems its stucked somewhere, feels like its in neutral. But when i floor it all the way for a long period of time and doesn't do it. Or if i just go normal speed its ok. When i happens it happens for like a sec. ITs werid. Only happen when i got the pop charger becuase maybe i am running the car harder then ever before. You think this is ok?

If your crusing around at 35 - 40 MPH and floor it your tanny has to unlock the torque converter, downshift 2 or even 3 gears. There's your lag. And yes, the tach does jump up as if you not connected to your tranny while this happens.

It's normal.

Try turning your overdrive off when you want to play like that. The tranny wil responde better because it doesn't have to unlock the converter and downshift so many gears.
