Yea...unfortunately it's kind of like the old Sony snaggle...they make good equipment, but you can find another product out there with the same quality at a lower price usually. But they do make good eq - I can't find it on their web page now, but I remember seeing they had a $2000 set of 6.5"s that they sold a couple years back, etc, etc.

Junior - take some time out and experiment if you really want an answer. Hook 'em up and drop 'em in and see what you think.

i had 4 3way 6 1/2 sony speakers in my doors. . .and they sound good, but u better get a component system for the front....i didn't feel the fullness of the sound....b/c all the speakers are in the doors....so it sounded ok, but the stock sounded better, b/c had better coverage of the car.....i have a non bose 2k se. . .also had 2 10 xlpods in the trunk, and a 4 channel, 2 channel xplod amp....everything was sony except for factory head. . .and i blew my door speakers pretty quick too....so if u buy sony...go for the ES series, the reg really sucks....my .02 cents

SONY EXPLODS.......why yes they do!

Sony's car audio is really not good if you want my honest opinion, no offense. I would definitely take the stock speakers over them. I've never been partial to Sony car products, and every time I hear someone's Sony stuff, its reaffirmed to me. If you're going to go aftermarket, go with something good. Just my opinion though.

First of all the rear doors are 6 1/2s....Second they will NOT drop right in. There will be some modifications necessary. As far as the brand....ummmm no stay away from them. Factory headunits are designed to work best with factory speakers, not to say replacing them is a bad idea, but go a little better than the Sonys if your going to do it. Unfortunately the ES line has been dropped awhile back (BIG mistake on Sonys part)
