Installing dual 10s and an amp

hi guys,

i own a 2002SE no bose! I will be installing 2 10s and an amp. my question is does the stock HU have rca inputs or outputs? or will I have to do splices from the speaker out puts?

Thanks for you help.

Sincerely,
Junior Padilla

Factory decks do not have rca preamp outputs. If you stick with your oem deck you will need to find an amp that accepts speaker level inputs and tap into the rear speaker leads.

Just go 2 kicker 10 w/an old jensen amp. connected it with the stock HU sounds pretty good. My next investment will be component speaker.

Thanks guys,
J.

NO factory radios have preouts. Use either an amp that accepts speaker inputs or a "high level convertor" which will convert your speaker leads to RCAs, which on occasion depending on the one that you use and if adjustable made distort sound if not adjusted properly.
