Future Maxima owner needs guidance...

Hello all. From my name, you can probably guess what model of car I currently own. After much consideration, I have chosen to purchase a 4th Generation Maxima next summer. I don't consider this upgrading. Nor do I consider it downgrading. I call it more of a lateral move.
What I need to know is what the different trim levels indicate (from what I can tell so far, there's SE, GLE, and GXE),what to look for when buying, and what prices are good. Also, differences (if any) among the 4th Gen model years.
I will miss my SHO, but I'm in the mood for something different. Something with a decidedly better aftermarket.

-Guido (Don't tell the guys over at SHOTimes...)

Start by reading the entire 4th Gen FAQ, and searching a little.

SE's have white faced guages sunroof, leather, spoiler, 16 wheels, fog lights,BOSE,color matched door handles, grille, mirrors(no chrome)

GLE's leather,BOSE,heated seats,chrome door handles,grille,mirrors,

GXE-plain cloth seats no spoiler, plain rims,

this is off the top of my head someone else help us w/exact differences...

get a 5 speed if you can find one....

there is not much difference most of the difference is cosmetic and interior stuff..from the SE,GLE,a nd GXE but you can add what you want afterward...

good price 95-96 under $10,000

97-99 12,000-16,000

DO NOT get a 95-96. No offense to those drivers but these are the flimsy of the flimsy. These years did very bad in high and low speed crash tests, so if you back into a pole you'll have a $3000 repair bill. www.iihs.org
