kinda old, but i'll reply.
i just bought some Mtec 9004 bulbs on ebay for $25 shipped. Here's the deal...they're supposed to run at 100/80w...not the usual 55/65w that PIAA, Nokya, Phillips, etc run at. They are 4350k, which make them look really bright white, almost silver, with no hint of blue. I can't comment how much brighter they are from stock cuz I just put them in today. But they look great from inside the car and from outside.
My bro commented on how HID they look...not cheezy blue HID, but real, white HID.

Piaa does run at 45/65w which is a good thing. The 80/100w bulbs will melt your wiring. You need an aftermarket harness if you are going to use the higher wattage bulbs. Piaa bulbs also last much longer than most other aftermarket bulbs.

The mtec bulbs I see on ebay say they run at 65/45W but put out 130/110W, is this not what you got? Have you had any problems with these?

i got these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...867256410&rd=1
100/80...freaking nice. I don't need a harness yet. The harness isn't the issue...it's making sure the reflector in the headlight housing doesn't discolor, which it hasn't yet. I'm gonna keep runnning these till I get HID, then I'll sell them.
Get the bulbs from the guy I won from. He lives down the block from me and has good service.

OK, those do say 100/80W, and the other link I posted says 65/45W, but they both say 4350K! WTF?

That's exactly what I'm getting, along with the H3s...
I emailed some of the buyers of them and got positive responses:

yes, they are great. I put them in and it's a lot whiter than the stock ones.. also, it's whiter than the other pair I had. it's great. and you'd like it.

The bulbs are actually pretty good, it is whiter than stock, and it is not the BLUE xenon bulbs that are out there. Light output increased from OEM bulbs

I can do that once I receive them. A couple more responses I got from ebay buyers:

I like em, their bright. Theres no blue light just basically white bright beams.

MAN, let me tell you they ar ethe best bulbs out there so far, i have tried them all (the others blew out within a month......these are brighter than all and i like the bluish tint.....I recommend them and the good thing is they come with a lifetime warranty no questions asked.....

I'm running a set of 9004 Naxos bulbs in the headlights, and PIAA plasma H3's in the tailights. I've had this setup for almost 2 years, and never had one problem. I actually had the PIAA Plasma H3's before they even came out in the US, as they were just made available within the past few months. I found a Japanese guy off of ebay who was in the states, and had brought back a few sets. Anyway, my Naxos bulbs give a better and more clean effect that anything else that I've seen on the road. But they're expensive. In most cases they are even or above the price of PIAA's, but for having them 2 years +, they're worth it!
