Help! hooking an amp up to my bose system.

A month ago I hooked up my head unit. Now I get feedback from my speakers(which I think is because the bose speaker have their own amp as well as the head unit...right). I got an amp now that I want to hook up to my bose speakers. I want my system to sound good and clear, I want everything hooked up right. For those of you who have done this before, what is the best way to hook an amp up to your bose system do I bypass the bose amps? Do all the bose speakers even have their own amps? Any info on how to get to the front speakers would help too. Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In my 92, each speaker had its own amp. If you just plugged in a new HU I'm suprised that it even worked. Talk about driving those amps hard... Anyway, the easiest way to bypass the amps is get teh signal from the speaker wiring harness. Make sure you get the speaker wire, as there are also 2 power wires. There maybe plug and play adapters that you can buy.

I decided that all of that was too muhc screwing around for crappy speakers and wiring, and pulled new wire and installed new speakers. They are millioins of times better than the bose, and I spent less than $500.
