New to Nos. Can someone help me out?
Im thinking about gettin nos, and just going with a small portion, probably 50. I herd the Zex system is pretty cheap. How can i go about ordering one, and I read you can have the nos spray out with a switch to make it spray at whatever RPM. I have a 98 Auto. So I dont wanna shoot when it shifts. Im very new as in not really knowing the basics either. If someone could take the time out to help me out, I would really apprecaite it. Thanx

MAX420 is selling a nitrous kit.
and since you have an auto, you dont have to worry about it spraying inbetween shifts because your tranny will shift when it is supposed to, unlike manuals where you can miss a shift etc...

The best thing you could do is research. I went to the local bookstore and bought a couple of books and learned the basic principles that way. Just an idea.
There are 3 diff kits you can use on your car. NOS, ZEX, and NX express. All are easy to hook up yourself, if you are mechanically inclined and have the tools/time. Starting out with a 50 shot is the smart thing to do until you get your feet wet. You will not need additional equipment, even though it wouldn't hurt if you did get it. As for spraying, you have been watching F&F way too many times...you can spray whenever you want, but it's really not needed. All 3 systems are activated at WOT. This is really the safest way to do it due to fuel volume. Not enough fuel and too much nitrous makes engines go BOOOM. If you spray @WOT, you are likely to have enough fuel to stay safe.
I'm being very nutshell about this since it's all considerably more involved than this, but I'm trying to give you some very basic ideas to start thinking about. My suggestion is to go to the bookstore and buy a book called "Nitrous Oxide Injection Guide by Joe Pettitt". It is sponsored by Holley, so it does refer to NOS products and is a little more inclined toward carbs rather than FI....but it does give you a very good base of knowledge about how N2O works and why.
I am known to be long winded, so I will stop for now. You are more than welcome to email me and ask me specific questions you may have.

Joe Pettitt has a newer book out called Nitrous Oxide Injection Guide for sport compacts. That one might be better since I don't think many so called sport compacts today running carb.
