Fuel Hose Clamps

PLEASE don't use these clamps on your fuel system unless you like putting your life on the line. They can be overtighened very easily and can cut into your fuel line.

The first one has beveled edges, cannot overtighten and is made for fuel applications.

Spray Safe and have a Great Year.
Jim

Thanks Jime.

I can attest to this when using this type of clamp on my tranny cooler hose.

They will cut into the hose, no doubt. Fresh fuel and a hot engine is BAD combination. A friend of mine lost his Mustang engine to this and was saved by a truck driver driving by with a fire extinguisher.

The first one is called t-bolt clamp. The second one is called worm drive clamp. I'm using the t-bolt clamps from Pep boys in 5/16" size. For some reason, I have to bottom out the bolt for the clamp to be on tight enough. The next size down 1/4" is too small even to slip on the 5/16" ID hose. Nothing beats the OEM hose clamps. The OEM hose clamps are t-bolt type.
