Blow down tube question
Blow down tube question
Can I just drill a 1/2 inch hole out the bottom of my trunk and stick the tube down there? I'm planning to do 99% of spraying at the track and I figure when I'm not using the bottle I can pop the tube off and stick a rubber stopper in the drilled hole.
The reason I ask is I was reading a lot of posts about what you can and can't do and NHRA specifications which I'm not really following. The Blow down tube just inst very long which doesnt give me many install options.
Thanks

Intead of a tube you can go with stainless steel braided hose. You do need the correct hose end mate with the blow off valve of the bottle. I forgot what size hose end. I want to say 8AN.

In other words can I make easy switches without losing nitrous out of the bottle?

The Safety Valve is only set to blow if your bottle exceeds its set pressure, I think its in the vicinity of 1900 psi, that is so the bottle bleeds off pressure vs blowing up.
The valve where the nitrous is fed to the engine is through a hand controlled valve (unless you have a remote bottle opener)and is totally separate you can change bottles to your hearts content.
The stock bottle has a safety valve you just don't have any method of attaching the blow down tube. A new valve is supplied with the kit that the blow down tube screws onto.
