How to install purge kit?

does anyone have pics or a write up on how to install a purge kit?

Does the purge solenoid go before the first nitrous solenoid? it says in/out, on the out part it has a tiny hole for the "straw" thing...

i have the NOS 5124 kit, and a Nitrous Works Purge Kit if it helps.

Yes it does. I looked through all my pics but couldn't find one of my old setup.

They should have given you a connector to hook them together. But you have it right.

Make sure you use a good teflon paste and not pipe thread on the connections and NEVER use any tape or paste on the AN connectors.

teflon paste? so its not ok to use teflon tape?

do you need to use teflon paste for EVERY single connection on the entire nitrous setup?

Never use teflon tape on a nitrous system. I can get into the solenoids and clog them. Its a BIG no no.

Yes on every threaded connection you should use teflon paste. With the exception of the AN fittings they are sealed internally not by the threads.

one more question... on the purge solenoid there are 2 blue wires... how do you know which one is ground/power? does it not matter, or would i have to use trial and error?

Doesn't matter its DC the solenoid will work either way.

it took about 4 hours to install the purge kit! it was real simple but i ran into stupid problems, like the bronze straw tube connects to a very small fitting, and it broke so i had to get another one from RBa... then i found out the 4AN adapter was stripped on one side, so i had to fix that and make the connections tighter since it was leaking

All in all, purging is fun! only wish the bronze straw thing was a tad bit longer

wow... so neat my solenoid's are on the other side of the engine bay, do you think i can just go to home depot and buy a long bronze straw thing?

its funny when you purge cause the straw thing goes hay wire

BTW im almost done with the nitrous set up on my car! I just need to install my upgraded fuel pump, 1 step colder plugs, and a bottle warmer maybe opener too...
