Difference in all the NOS types?

I was just wondering, what is the difference between wet systems, dry systems, direct port, and fogger systems? I have heard all these terms, but never understood what they meant.

Also, if anyone knows, how do they measure how much NOS is going into the engine? What does 75 shot mean in terms of how much NOS is being used?

Thanks

-Chris

To start with you are only asking about ONE Manufacturer, NOS, there are 5 or more in total.

The FAQ's give a pretty good definition of the differences between wet and dry and even some pictures. Courtesy of SmoothMax.

Direct Port routes both nitrous and fuel to each cylinder and each have a separate nozzle and is the ultimate (imho) setup.

Fogger is a "NOS" brand name and applies to their wet and d/p nozzles.

The amount of nitrous is not measured, it is restricted and controlled by the nozzle size and pressure applied to it.

A 75 shot is supposedly 75 HP but depending on who the manufacturer is it could be to the wheels or to the crank. Also different manufactures use different size nozzles for the same advertized shot so it can only be taken as a good guess on their part. Some manufactures do guarantee their HP to 2% to the wheels and that is documented in the FAQ's.

I probably shouldn't have even answered this since I have a different system now and I don't even own a NOS system anymore, but I did have one for 6 months.

I didn't send him there on purpose, that is definately "NOS" propaganda.

It shows very simple pics and explains exactly what he is asking though.
