Wasn't aware the FSM was that easily available. Thanks. It's a hot wire. Therefore, in this application; a wet shot is the best solution.

That looks great! Especially with the NWP Block Plate.

You can get rid of that vacuum canister if you want. But make sure you leave the VIAS solenoid plugged in and there are no vacuum leaks when you're done.

But that setup looks good! Got any good 1/4 mile times yet? What kind of shot are you running right now?

It touches the padding under the hood but i had to cut it out a bit and its fine now. But it does not touch the hood it self.

Thanks . Nice plug there. It would look evin better with a NWP Engine Torque Link Bracing Kit . But how would i go about removing the canister? No have not run it yet waittng on a fuel pressure regulator and some tires. I got a 50 in there now but will work my way up to a 150.

That's awesome.

The canister has one vacuum hose coming from the intake manifold. Then another hose leaves the canister and goes to the solenoid. Remove both of those hoses with the tank and make sure the intake manifold is properly capped off so you don't get a leak.

I only mentioned it b/c it appears you like to keep a clean engine bay with that nice nitrous setup.

That is really impressive man, good job!!!

Curious: How does one calculate the jet sizes in all that? and do you need to use a bigger main feed(larger than -4an since there more flow?), or not really since it the same flow as a single fogger just divided into smaller nozzles therefore no need for bigger main? is my logic correct?

You can use a jet size calculator.
You don't need to use a bigger main feed, a direct port 100 shot and a single nozzle 100 shot will flow the same amount of nitrous.

This is the only nitrous thread that has any life left....I am about finished with my zex 75 wet shot on my 04 Max. I had a couple of quick questions...Will I have to do any tuning after the install..apparently there is no retarding to be done for this 75 shot. Are their any good plug and play tuners to work with..like apexi ect? Also does anyone have a water/meth kit with their nitrous? It sounds very beneficial from a knock prevention standpoint..+hp,steam cleaning effects ect. After I buy my window switch, I gotta get my bottle filled and hopefully I will hit Lebanon track within about a month to post some results. Thanks for the replies in advance.

You can do it. Get a tranny cooler if you don't already have one and the trans should be good.

The motor will eat up the nitrous no problem.

Just make sure you're not spraying between shifts so you don't burn it up. A cooler as krazy6 recommended + a shift kit would also be ideal.

Yeah, a window switch is nice!

Also do the DR mod. Practically free "shift kit" lol

This is an old pic of the swap at the begining

I'm more of an outsider then an in and in guy but I thought I'd post my setup that I plan on building I just don't have the system built yet. As a primary layout Idea I have a 97 swift gutted out and weighing about 1700lbs with a VQ30DE rescued from an extremely rear smashed 95 maxima. As I said I'm more of an outsider to the community but I find the advice on the great VQ's extremly helpful. As for my setup I plan on building a custom aluminum plenum with a 3" collector feeding each bank(left bank tank on the right side and vise versa) with two 2.5" TB's fed from a single 3" CAI to distribute the flow evenly across the two banks and then run a zex 10lb bottle and solenoid setup with custom built bottle heater feeding 2 seperate nozzles at each TB with a 50 wet shot per TB. For the fuel system I'm running a walbro 255LPH in tank for the engine and the stock maxima intank for nitrous with a seperate FPR. The setup is a 5spd with headers and 3" exhaust. I will also be running a window switch so as the nitrous will not activate below 3000RPM and WOT

Direct port VQ35

A pix of my direct port installation for this thread: Upper limit = 500 shot - 600 shot with larger solenoids and fuel pump. Induction Solution 150-shot nozzles (6) NX 500WHP solenoids, NX Maximizer 3 2-stage progressive controller, Walbro 255LPH, Aeromotive CNC filter 1000hp, some other parts.

Done correctly, wirh large solenoids, the direct port gives a very solid pull with a balanced spray to each cylinder -- and with the Maximizer 3, it's easy to modify the spray levels.

And yes, those are Induction Solution 150-shot nozzles in each hole, and custom made braided hoses and 500hp solenoids.
