How long does it take for a heater to heat up?

Hey,

How long does it take a bottle heater to heat up?

I installed mine today and it is wired correctly but after being on for a minute or two it doesn't feel any warmer.

It should heat up very quickly, I had the same problem when I installed mine. Check and make sure you have a good ground, and make sure you sand the metal where the ground contact is so you will have a good connection, that fixed all my problems.

Its 300 watts. It is definately not working and all of the wiring is correct, I am wondering if the filament itseld doesn't work.

If you check the resistance across the heater you can tell if its open or not.

It should almost be a dead short, mines measures at 1.2 ohms.
