Pyrometer?

Dumb qustion probably, but is the pyrometer 0-1600F the same as the EGT gauge?

Mine says Pyrometer...it is the same but it is IIRC an industrial reference that carried over to certain brands of EGT gauges.

Pyrometer is more of an Autometer term. But it same terminology as an EGT
