Recommended Gauges????

Besides AF Ratio, Nitrous Pressure and EGT...What other gauges are helpful or recommended when running higher nitrous shots??? Thanks.

You could do without the A/F unless you are getting one with its own probe. The A/F gauges that are for use with the factors o2 sensors are highly inaccurate.

Otherwise, I would recommend a full-sweep fuel pressure gauge, nitrous pressure, and EGT.

And remember, the EGT and fuel pressure are most important for the inner-cabin pods. You can just use an inline nitrous pressure gauge....

if you run a dual thermostat heater , do not bother with in-cabin gauge for nitrous if you can help it...it attracts attention (some unwanted) even if you are off the bottle for a bit...

get the EGT and fuel pressure...

I realized after nearly a year, my AFR gauge was one: hooked up wrong and two: completey dysfunctional for monitoring an engine...

do NOT, i repeat DO NOT get the A/F gauge.
The most inacurate thing int he world.

Also it dies on me after 3400 rpm. Just stops working cuz the ECu doesnt get signals fromt he o2 sensors after that rpm ? I dunno...

How am I suppose to tell if im rich/lean if im punching/juicing?

Im getting the Autpometer pyrometer

I am looking into getting a NX wet kit and so far I know I need a nitrous pressure guage. Why would I need an EGT gauge and do I need a fuel pressure gauge?

It is helpful if you want to know what is going on with your car and run safely.
EGT will help you to determine if you are running lean by monitoring exhaust gas temperatures.

FP will tell you if your FPR is doing its job and getting enough fuel to your engine when spraying.

Both of these gauges will help you to determine if you are in danger of running too lean which is not good for your car.

These things work fine. It's your own fault if you can't learn to read it. Just get the EGT to supplement it. And who gives a rip if the ECU doesn't read it at WOT? Thats the best time for YOU to read it. .02

Then you're reading it correctly.

It's to be used as a reference folks not the end all be all of ratio detection.

Nitrous pressure is available in C-2? I didn't know that... just bought some Ultra-Lite gauges.

OOPS. No. They have Lunar (mechanical) Nitrous. No C2. I got A/F. EGT and Fuel Pressure in the C2. I got my Nitrous pressure gauge in Carbon Fiber (to match my bottle ). It's electric...boogy woogie woogie...

I just ordered a GENX2 kit for my NX wet kit and was wondering can I do without the inline cabin nitrous pressure gauge and use the bottle mounted gauge to monitour the pressure since the heater by itself keeps the bottle between 900 and 1050psi? Or the heater doesnt monitor it. I ordered the new one with the black bottle heater.

Having it on the bottle is fine. The issue is what if the heater stops working? You won't find out until you see something wrong on your EGT gauge.

nonononno!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

The bottle should be OPEN when the heater is ON

THe transducer that you install on the bottle for the heater can only get a reading if the bottle is open, so the heather would never shut off, and the bottle would get really um.. hot..
And break the seals.

The 3rd gen that blew i think did this and the safety blow off cap didnt work out too well.

Search for pics..google..youll find it...

Thanks. Do you think it will be ok if I fill the bottle before I have the system installed, or should I wait?

I would wait. Get everything installed, then get the juice.

it shouldnt matter
I got it filled later for safety...

NX instructs you to get if filled first..

If its your first time and your instlling a remote opener, fill it later...

It really doesnt matter, just dont open the bottle till ur done.

I wish mine was full when I installed it, cuz then u can check for leaks..
My purge valve was installed wrong so mine was constantly feeding.
Then I did it right and the purge wouldnt work cuz it was on too tight.

I would fill it up...

a really cool trick is to fill the bottle, look into the valve and have your friend twist the bottle open... watch what happens!

Thats because he had put two disks in the safety.

He is still trying to sue NX and is getting absolutely nowhere. He did everything wrong and is still trying to blame someone else.

Why accept responsibility for your own actions when you can always blame your stupidity on someone else and sue them. What a country.
