NEEDED: Pics of Fuel T splice location

I am going to buy the NX 20923 most likely.

The only part I am worried about is tapping into the fuel system.

I heard that I need a bigger T for this.

Can someone who has done this comment on the bigger T issue and post a picture of the place where you integrated it. Thanks.

Tyler

I will post some pics tonight.

You will needs some 5/16 fuel line hose.. Make sure it is fuel line hose. You will also need some fuel line clamps.

I attached an 18" piece of the new hose to the top of the filter, clamped it. I then attached the hose in this order to my tees:

HOSE ----> 5/16" barb--->1/8" tee----> 1/8" male to male connector ----> 1/8" tee----> !/8" male to male connector----> 1/8" tee------> 5/16" barb which was connected and clamped to the stock fuel line which runs into the engine.

I chose to keep the stock fuel line in case I ever need to remove the kit and return to stock.

Make sure you get fuel line clamps

Make sure you use fuel line hose.

Use a teflon based sealer on all threads. You do not want a fuel leak for obvious reasons.

The Nitrous kit comes with it's own selaer for all threads. Do not use the Nitrous sealer on flare fittings...Big NO NO!

I will post some pics tonight!

Definitely use a vise to tighten your fuel fittings. Being in a dorm I didn't have a vise available, so I think I'm going to have to remove mine and retighten when I get home

Where did you get the 5/16 fuel line hose? So now I have to go and get 6 fuel clamps, those tees and fuel line hose. Dam.

I also need to know this.. It would be VERY VERY helpful if we could get some pics of where we are supposed to tap the fuel line for a 95/96. I've checked the pics and have only seen the general location for this. Any help, please?

Thanks,

Jeff

Turn the car off...take out the fuel pump fuse
start the car, let it die...
do this like 8 times or so until you feel thers not much pressure left..

Unscrew the little football like connector (cant think of the name right now)
Get a towel, wrap around it and pull. The excess fuel will get on the towel, not all over your engine
And Merry christmas

All - I put some pictues on my Homepage. I got an extra piece of 5/16" fuel line. I connected this to the top outlet of the fuel filter and connected my tees to it. I connected the other end of the tees to the pice of stock fuel line that I removed from the top outlet of the filter.

This will complete your fuel line tap. I have a pirture of the top of the outlet on my homepage.

It is pretty straight forward and does not require any cutting etc. Whe I am ready to return to stock, I can just remove the tees and the extra line and connect the stock line again.

This was done a 1997. I am not familiar with the 5th gen's.

Fuse box to the left of the steering wheel. Pull off the cover, all of the fuses are labeled.

You will have to work a little bit to remove the hose which connects to the top of the fuel filter.

I used an 18" piece. It allowed me to have more freedom with the tee mounting location.

If the hose is 5/16"s and the barbs are 5/16", then you probably want 5/16" fuel injection hose clamps

Also be sure to put a generous amount of paste on the threads and tighten in a vise. My tees were leaking, so I had to pull them again yesterday and repaste/retighten.
