Holley 05122NOS kit B-Day gift

So, yesterday was my birthday and some guys at work chipped in and suprised me with the afore mentioned kit...I guess its a dry set up and is adjustable from 20 shot up to 150 shot. My car is a 2002 SE with greddy catback, injen intake and lots of suspension mods.

I need to know who has experience putting the nitrous to the VQ35 engine.

On a dry set up, what is the quality way to go about this so there is NOOOOO chance of blowing the engine....I want to be smart about this mod and make sure that all prequations are in place and I am running the gas in the proper way.

I believe the kit comes with a full throttle switch that goes under your pedal, I'll have a bottle warmer, but as far as the actual routing and place to tap in, etc....I really need some input. Who has schematics on this car? Holley doesn't...

Help me out O Gods of Nitrous I need some help on this one....Thanks!

the switch doesnt go under your pedal, it goes to the throttle body cable in the engine bay

Wow.. good look with the dry kit on a vq35.. You'll need to get some extra's to make it work. You were better off getting a wet kit.

wet/dry

why is wet considered so much better? I did PM sr20den...thanks for the name...but haven't more people put nitrous to an 02 or 03 max? Where the love on the nitrous forum...I need know-how...nobody in Wisconsin knows crap about putting nitrous to my car...so you guys are my source for quality info on how I should go about this and what is a safe, yet kick a__ set up...
ps...yes this may be considered a slight bump...didn't mean to seem ungrateful for previous feedback, but it seemed offbase and givin in a negative fashion...i will hold my tounge in the future...any feedback is welcome

I got a wet kit in my 2002, I dont know too much about dry kits, id rather stay away from them. I would rather have the micture happen before the nitrous got into the engine, rather then the use of the injectors..Dry setups also need more tuning to avoid rich/lean.

I avoided the throttle switch by just setting up a manial push button and installed it where the seat heaters are suppose to go. One switch there is the squeeze and one is the purge. (Im an auto)

As said above SR20DEN has experience with dry kits on a 2002 and he installed a throttle switch as well. I didnt get into much detail because that switch doesnt interest me. Id rather go manual spray when I want.. because once you break loose, good luck

Are you an auto? or 6spd?

Also, contact NOS for recommendations of shots, what shot you should not go to. I would start at a 50 shot and gradually rise to whatever you think is enough power for yourself. You'll need to monitor your fuel pressure so youll need some guages...Most recommended are FULL SWEEP nitrous and fuel guages and an EGT for A/F ratio.. DONT get an A/F guage if it doesnt have its own 02 sensor...

Jim aka "Jime" will be your nitrous guru,

Good luck
