On A Mission ( kinda long )

Ok, hey to all you nitrous users

I have finly made my choice, i have passed up turbo ( atleast for now ) and bought my self a NX kit

Im so happy to actuly have a real mod that will make my car pack some heat. With the set up i have now im running a 14.4 and i want to be well into the 13s when the N20 comes.

I remember back in the day before the Turbo was even a choice, they would say how the superC was a waste of money cuz the same gains if not more could be seen with nitrous.

Well im a little disappointed After looking in the 1/4 fourms and Dyno forums.. I saw some org memebers like SmoothMax running a 13.6 on a 60 shot, witch is awsome! but in the dyno forums, most the superC people were pushing high 200s low 300s hp rating, and most the nitrous people were like 230 hp that is unless they had a DPI kit or were pushing mass amounts of nitrous... im just a little confused thats all.

I belive i dont have to change my fuel pump till i go higher then a 75 shot on the NX kit ( i think ) but i want to know what i can do to be a serous road monster, and not "Just A person with a nitrous kit"

Jime you were great help , and im glad you made me get the NX kit...hopfuly you can come threw for me on this one. And thanks to anyone els

Well, I have run 13.1 on a 35 shot and 14.7 N/A, no changes and 15 min apart runs.

However, you need traction to do that, it won't happen without slicks.

Example:
Street Tires I run 15.4 N/A, with 35 shot 15.1
Drag Radials 14.9 N/A, with 35 shot 13.9
Slicks 14.7 N/A, with 35 shot 13.1

No traction, lousy times.

Oh ya, feel the power is more like it. If your a 5 speed I wouldn't turn it on until your into 2nd or you will just light up the tires.

You see my slick times, thats a 1.6 second diff in the 1/4, thats a big kick in the butt.

I am a 5 speed and sprayed in 1st a 50 shot and no traction problems. However i also only ran a 14.4 with the 50 shot? I think I should be running 14.0 with a 50 shot.

Road/Freeway Monster? Get a VI to go along with your nitrous kit. The addition of a VI to my nitrous setup gave me 60hp/60tq at redline compared to when I had USIM. That totally changed the dyno curves and how the the car performs. Now, it'll just pull and pull on the freeway...
