maximum shot for a dry kit?

whats the highset shot u can run with a dry kit....im thinking about getting the zex dry kit or nx dry kit but i want 100 shot....should i buy a wet kit or dry kit....i will be changing my fuel pump either way as well as my spark plugs....i just don tknow if its safe to run 100 shot in a dry kit cause my freinds tells me no....i will also purchase the safc contorller and dyno tune it all at the same time with install of nitrous....

i can help alittle....from one greek to another.....

-if u plan on spraying a 100 dry shot i recommend a upgraded feul pump, larger injectors(300zx -370cc), and a safc to work the new injecotrs. (BTW this is my eventual plan)

-if u plan on a wet shot whihc is most popluar because u wont be overloading ur stock injectors,,, all u will have to run is a larger feul pump.... for wet kits search for post by Jime ( aka master of nitrous )

EDIT: if anyone one can correct me please do bc this is the info im basing my Nitrous set up on... u will be helping me also! thanx

I would say that 100 shot is safe if you have the upgraded fuel pump and fpr to handle it, as well as the necessary gauges

I've been spraying a 125 dry shot for a while w/Walbro high flow fuel pump w/no probs at all. Dyno even shows my nitrous a/f to be richer than my N/A a/f.

1 step colder NGK coppers. People will suggest 2 step colder...but I personally haven't experience any negative issues with just 1 step.

OMG...how many bottles of your 100 dry shot have you gone through? What do your plugs look like? The stock pump cannot constantly sustain that high of fuel pressure.

Not yet. This is a very dangerous combo.

Unless you have a spare motor sitting around.....upgrade your fuel system.

You can run 100 shot with the upgraded fuel system, as everyone has mentioned. You would also be well suited to use gauges to monitor the system, an afc to further tune the system, and colder plugs.

The tuning of a dry setup is critical to maximum performance. Wet kits do not require as much because they inject fuel with the nitrous. It is a little safer because your chances of running lean are minimized.

BTW, why not just get a wet setup from the start if you want to go that high out of the gate?

I'm sure you keep a close eye on your plugs too.

This is our ghetto way to ward off detonation, but it works. The standard rule of thumb for colder plugs is 1 step for every 50 shot.
