Weird Fuel Pressure readings

41 PSI at idle
48 at WOT

Bad guage
Overzealous fuel pump.... I am leaning towards a bad guage, using the Automter electrical.

Anyone have a similar experience or suggestions?

Thanks,

Big Cracker

Which fuel pump?? If you have anything beside an OEM, your fuel pressure will be higher than spec. I just installed an AEM universal fuel pressure regulator. That will save me some $$$ on gas and get some power back.

Just put in a $10 mechanical gauge under the hood to compare.

Autometer eletrical fuel pressure sender tends to go bad. Do what Jime said and just install a mechanical one under the hood to double check. I have 3 fuel pressure gauges on the car currently. One eletrical inside the car. Large autometer under the hood and a small one on the adjustable FPR.

did you tap the line the same way? I have a fitting in there currently for a FPSS that I am not using.

That'll work. Just has to be on the hi pressure side and not on the return.
