Is spraying with bad o2 sensors harmful?

I was just curious, last night before the races i threw a CEL, well i raced anyways... ...It turned out to be bank 2 sensor 1 o2 bad.

But my fear is, can/will my car possibly run too lean while im spraying and....kaboom...Or with bad o2 sensors does the car normally run richer?

Either way i know i have to fix it, but in the mean time its such perfect conditions to be racing in my neck of the woods. At the same time i dont want to be risking my motor...

Also, whats the cheapest place for o2 sensors?

If you're sparying only at WOT, then oxygen sensor shouldn't affect anything - the car is not using them then. As far as sensors.... call DAVE B I guess. they should be like $130 a piece...

Well yeah, i mean i would only spray at WOT. I wasnt aware that the oxygen sensors arent used at WOT, isnt that kinda dumb? Just sounds weird, i figure they would help the car from running too rich/lean at WOT...

Oh, and i found a place that sells nissan o2 sensors for like 70bucks...

At WOT car goes into so caleld "open loop mode" because velocity of exhaust gasses past the sensor is so high it can not read A/F ratio from the oxygen sensor accurately. So the car relies soley on your MAF to figure out how much air it is getting.

It also goes in to the open loop if it suspects that the main oxygen sensors are dead.

www.OxygenSensors.com is where they sell them cheap. Oh and oddly enough, today my check engine light went off! Ill see if it rears its ugly head again, but so far today it didnt. Oh, but i did hear a nice "knocking" sound this morning in my engine, like valves knocking . But oddly, i turned off the car, started it back up and it hasnt done it again, wtf???

Hey man, I am about to get the exedy stage one clutch and was wondering if it holds a 75 shot in first gear and how long the break in period was?

Hell yeah it holds a 75shot in first, if you have grip, it will hold. I allowed about 300miles for break-in, but i didnt go all out and wild till around the 500-ish mark. This clutch is just as strong as the ACT (same clutch, different pressure plate), which to my knowledge has held everything a modded max has throw its way...

Oh, and be prepared for helacious torque steer when you spray from first to second...
