question about RPM switch for a 2k2
question about RPM switch for a 2k2
Hey guys, been some time since ive posted in here.
I need to know what exactly I need to buy to have the nitrous kick on between rpms. ive been squeezing manually on a button.
Im gonna been an RPM switch, anyone know what brand?
And as far as the WOT switch, is that necessary to engage the RPM switch?

i believe msd makes a window switch but not sure if itll work on our cars... harlan also make a window switch but his circuits tend to flake out ( like my VI rpm switch)
its safe to have the WOT switch installed inline with the window switch just as a safety precaution..so u dont spray under WOTor under full Feul Pressure.... have it set up like this and u should be fine
12v(w/ inline fuse)---switch in cabin aka activation switch---WOT SWITCH----Window SW.------relay post
(i think that is the proper wiring.... some1 correct me if im worng)

I actually am set up with WOT and a window, but the window needs a 12 V relay to trigger the solenoids; just haven't gone out and bought one. So for now I just bypassed the window and have the WOT switch as my trigger.
BTW since you have drive by wire you might want to think about getting an electronic WOT switch instead of having to rig up the mechanical one to the pedal or something.

NX has em. The EFI kit comes with a mechanical switch so you'd have to purchase the electronic one separately. All you have to do is splice a wire of the TPS (throttle position sensor) and then tune/teach it where you want it to think wide open throttle is. I'll take a picture of it when I get a chance.
i think you need an electronic module that will turn on after a certain rpm and turn back off if your rpm goes below that point but i have no idea where you can get one, anybody knows or has a link
