What is the fuel pressure at WOT for 2k3???
What is the fuel pressure at WOT for 2k3???
i bought a fuel pressure regulator.... and i need to know the fuel pressure at WOT so i can set it up......... i've lost the directions on install too... so does anyone know how to install it/set it up?
I beleive the fuel pressure @ WOT for the 03 is 53psi.
I wish I could help you out with the install info, but I'm not positive how the fuel system on a 03 works. I think your year vehicle is not equipt with a fuel return line back to the fuel tank. And I'm not positive if it recycles the unused fuel directly back to the fuel line on the inside of the fuel rail. Maybe someone more familiar with your 03 will see you post & be able to help you out.
The aftermarket FPR that I am using came with a fuel rail adapter. If yours came with this piece then you need to remove the factory FPR & bolt the adapter where the factory FPR normally resides. If your adj. FPR is this way then after you install the fuel rail adapter everything else should fall into place. Just make sure that the fuel line hose from the fuel rail adapter connects to the "IN" side of your new FPR & the return or recycle hose connects to the "OUT" side of the new adj. FPR. Please make sure to use fuel injection hose & not standard fuel line. Standard fuel line cannot with stand the high fuel pressures our vehicles produce. Also make sure to use fuel injection hose clamps, not standard every day hose clamps. If you don't I can promise you that there will be a fuel leak. Just remeber to be safe and everything will turn out well. One last thing, when you do finish installing the new FPR make sure to adjust it with the vacuum line disconnected from the FPR this will simulate what your fuel pressure will be set at WOT. Good luck!

I was just reading some post in the nitrous forums. I think you should read this thread.
(Anyone Runing Dry NOS on the MAX?)
There is some info in there that mentions that the stock FPR on 02 & 03's is located in the fuel tank. So my guess is unless your using some kind of suplimentental fuel system (external fuel pump) then your adj. FPR is worthless for you on your year. Maybe you can contact some of the peopl in that thread & they can give you some worthy advice.
