problems with my car ...need help!

Ok, I usly don’t post much cuz i have no problem working on my car...and fixing all my problems when they come up.

But this time im 100% lost on what could be wrong with my car.

I own a 96 maxima 5 speed. With warm air intake, Bugget down pipe, Cat back exhaust, Exedy clutch, 100 shot of nitrous. I have the upgraded fuel pump, with cold step spark plugs and that’s it.

Ive been running a 75 shot for a long time with no problems and the 100 too for a little...but all of a sudden for the past week or so every time i try to be pepy with my car it starts to stutter. like in 1st gear i'll give it a little gas to take off ( no where near flooring it ) and she will start jumping back and forth like a horse around 3 grand. I was told with the aftermarket fuel pump that people get this when there low on gas...so i filled up half way and Tonight i started racing with the nitrous and it was fine but after a couple runs she did it again, off a 2nd hear rool...the car jumped back and forth so hard that i barked tires every time kinda like if u start the car and have left it in gear and pop the clutch, but my left foot was no where near the clutch..

some one help !

Please!

Have you checked to see if you fouled a spark plug/s? Or checked for a bad coil pack? Sounds like you have a spark/ignition problem. If you have been running a big N2O shot for a while, you have to change the plugs regularly. That is the downside to copper, the don't last as long as platinum, but are cheaper so you can replace them more often.

I'm not sure how to test the coil packs, but it seems to be a common enough problem with 4th gens.

From what i hurd if u have a bad coil pack, the car will misfire, and the car will throw a CEL so i dont think the coil pack is an issue...but i'll still check my sprark plugs

Sometimes it will throw a code. I had a bad coil pack that didn't throw a code. It finally did after about 4 months. Another thing you might want to check although I don't know how is the injectors. Usually it is either a bad coil pack or injector. One last thing, check to make sure you got the right plugs, if the gap somehow got messed up it can do weird things as well.

Ok I checked my plugs and none of them have fouled out.

I was wondering how would i be able to test my coil packs to see if one is bad...and what would i do to also test my injectors?

Ok i checked the coil packs at work today, and they all seemed to pass.

Things were really starting to **** me off cuz it seemed to be a lost problem... FINLY the car throws a check engine light.

All my problems were from my mass air flow sensor. I just wanted to let yall know for anyone els that may go threw this in the future.

Thanks for everyone’s help.
