Thanks to all.

I'd like to take this oportunity to thank many of the members in this forum. After 3 months of slowly tinkering with my nitrous set up, I decided to have a professional finish off the installation due to my lack of time. Using much advice and information from many on the board, both directly and indirectly, I was able to zero in on many wants and methods. I now have a NX 20923, heater, purge, FPSS, nitrous gauge, FP gauge, and EGT. I have it jetted for a 75 shot. I can't wait to get it to the track. It is amazing how much faster 2nd and 3rd gear pass by. Good times. I'll post pics in the stickies a bit later tomorrow.

Special thanks to Jime for his informative PMs and posts, and Bluebird for his posts throughout the forum.

Peace

Same here, hurricane charlie blew down a billboard at the local track and it took out the power. Otherwise I would have had already run by now. I did however pick up 6 mph on my buddy's G-Tech pro when we used the 1/4 mile feature. It was a slow run, I hat a WOT switch and didn't want to spray 1st.

Got it on a dyno yesterday. Jetted for 75hp, i picked up 51hp at the wheels, and 110 lbs/tq. Does NX di thier gains at the wheel or the crank?

Wheels, What was your bottle pressure? It should have been 75 at the wheels.

Bottle pressure was 1100psi, i think the problem is that the jetting is listed for 43lbs of fuel pressure. I'm indicating 52 lbs of FP on my FP gauge in my 2k2. I need to call up NX and get some better jetting suggestions. Obviously I was running really rich, so we switched out the fuel jet for a smaller one. The power remained the same but the A/F ratio was better. I'm running a safe 12.0 almost across the rpm band. I ran out of dyno runs and couldn't quite pay for another session on the spot, so we didn't try the next smaller jet, nor a larger nitrous jet.

Do you have an on/off switch for the system? If so, then come off the line as hard as possible, and right as you go WOT, turn the system on, that will let you start spraying in first. If I go WOT and then turn on the N2O, I can hold traction. If the system is armed already you will spin in first when you go WOT. You will pick up 3-5 more MPH in the 1/4 if you can spray earlier. I got it to where I am arming the system at about 25MPH which kicks you in the rear when the N2O hits. Now that you have everything set up, you have to learn how to drive it hard again. The other secret is that you need to heat the tires up before a run on the G-Tech, just like at the track, or no traction for you through first. Good luck, and welcome to the club.

I have an on/off switch. I had to evacuate some airplanes away from the last series of hurricanes, I've had no internet for 2 weeks. Just shortly before I left though I began spraying in first. I can manage it. I have the system activated, I roll the throttle hard to a point just short of the WOT switch. Once I feel I can hold traction, I click that last little bit and voooom!!! 1st gear doesn't last long on the 6-spd to begin with, now it is gone even faster. My bottle is empty right now, I gotta get it filled and get my jetting issues resolved.
