Nitrous arming switch is opening solenoids when armed...NX Wet 20923
I am installing a NX wet kit for a friend on his max and have finished everything and now when I turn the nitrous arming switch on it opens the solenoids and sprays. We wired everuthing up accordingly but instead of using a WOT switch we are using a momentary (push button) switch. When we turn the arming switch on you here the solenoids click and pour fuel. When you then are armed and push the push button you hear the solenoids and relay click. We wired a 3 prong toggle arming switch(Power-accesories-ground). I grounded the switch to a bolt and got power from the cig. lighter and finally wired the accessory to the push button. The push button then runs to the relay. I tested this to make sure by pulling the nozzle out and turning the arming switch on with out the car running and you hear the solenoids click and then see a little bit of fuel coming out the jet, when you push the push button you hear the solenoids and relay click. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

You have a wiring mixup somewhere.
Your arming switch and WOT switch (momentary in your case) are connected in series to the red wire on the relay. That is the 12v that switches the relay and puts power to the noids. If your momentary switch is not conducting power the relay cannnot engage. Check the continunity through your push button switch, it cannot spray unless this switch is made.

The relay can engage, but it engages when we turn the arming switch and then engages again when the push button is depressed. I dont understand whats up? Is the relay that comes with NX a "hella" relay? Thats what came with the kit, but it has different color wires than the schematic. The relay has 4 wires Orange, Blue, Red, Green. The kit came with the Orange wire with a fuse it it so I assume its the 12V (battery) wire. Any help/questions you have for me let me know and I will reply asap.

Regardless this is what the connections should look like.
There should be a diagram similar to the one I have posted on the lower pic. Hook it up accordingly.
85 and 86 energize the relay through a low current connection which is where the arming and fpss connect to, they are not polarized.
30 and 87 are the high current connections that energize the solenoids, one to high current 12v and the other to the noids then to ground as per drawing.
Use a meter to ensure you have it connected properly.
I used the steering wheel switch that changes my outside temp, fuel remaining etc to actually start spraying, its is connected in series with the WOT switch if you have one.
85 and 86 are the white and red wires in the drawing.
30 and 87 are the green and black wires.
