The damn thing won't open or close the valve....the instructions say if this were to happen, a clutch adjustment may be necessary, but I can't figure out how to make this adjustment. Anyone with experience in this department???

WHose opener do you have? Mine didn't come w/ any instructions for adjusting anything. It just said that if the valve was closed to tightly it couldn't open it. Open it by hand and then close it just enough to stop flow, then have your remote closer close it as much as it can. See if it will then open it from that posistion. Hope that makes sense.
